About your new role / Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to breakdowns on automated production lines and restore equipment to optimal operation
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM), inspections, and servicing of mechanical equipment
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and carry out timely repairs
- Perform mechanical repairs and component replacement (bearings, gearboxes, valves, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to minimise production downtime
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for accurate maintenance work
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all safety, food hygiene, and quality standards (HACCP / GMP)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be qualified Fitter
- Maintenance Experience required
- FMCG and/or Pharmaceutical Experience Desirable
- Strong problem solving skills, creative thinking.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Punctual and reliable.
